Objectives / Purpose of Job:

The Test Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our fire safety instrumentation. This includes hands on testing, configuration, calibration, fault diagnosis and quality checks across a range of systems such as gas analysis, reaction to fire and calorimetry equipment, all aligned with international fire safety standards.

You will work across a broad spectrum of fire safety applications, supporting both hardware and software components. The role also offers the opportunity to review and improve existing test processes, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Key Activities / Responsibilities:

Test – Final test of instruments after production:

• Electrical & mechanical inspection, test and overall performance of instrument and software.
• Ensuring all ancillary and spare parts are present and functional.
• The instrument is prepared appropriately for safe transport
• Oversee calibrated instruments and test processes and documentation.
• Fault finding on newly manufactured equipment.

• Giving telephone and email technical support to clients.
• Post-production factory acceptance testing of new instruments in conjunction with maintenance and customer returns.
• Technical support.
